Act 1: A Contender Arises[edit | edit source]

"Octopresence, Omnico's stealthy enforcers, hacked this arena's skins and are challenging you edgy-techhead NeoTexx duelists to "see if we should keep an eye on 'em or not"... Four of these "ModOps", as they call 'em, are here to win! Should you defeat them, their boss Argentia wants a WORD with ya..."

Spyke L33T[edit | edit source]

Objectives[edit | edit source]

- Duel Spyke L33T

This duel takes place in the Warhouse.

Clamos: "Welcome to the Blaston arena, contender! I'm Clamos, your announcer here at the Warhouse! Remember to top your waitstaff, folks. Let's see what you got! Your first opponent, a ModBot from the Omni Stable, put your Vectors together for... Spyke L33T!

The first opponent in the campaign is Spyke L33T, a hacked version of Dracx. His entrance onto the stage is a bunch of spikes piercing the corners of his podium and billowing smoke. He appears from the smoke and makes ninja-like gestures, chopping the air.

Spyke L33T: "Fresh meat, Spyke like. Spyke crush, like sad soda can."

Tools[edit | edit source]

- The player is equipped with two Raptors, a Wildcat, and a Hammer.

Upon Losing[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Hmm, guess they need more practice... Spyke L33T is always waiting for ya! No matter how unstable their warez!"

Upon Victory[edit | edit source]

Spyke L33T: "I'm not 2 EL33T to QU33T!" (Spyke L33T's dialogue uses wordplay based on his name using numbers in it. Translation: "I'm not too elite to quit!")

Clamos: "Wow, this contender has what it takes! So far... . Go play Zombies on the Dancefloor in Disco 99 while we set up for the next match... Look in the alley for tokens if you need 'em!" (Despite Clamos suggesting the player to play Zombies on the Dancefloor, this is not a objective the player must complete before advancing to the next level.)

Tuskin' Raider[edit | edit source]

Objectives[edit | edit source]

- Duel Tuskin' Raider

- Travel to Ozo and into the Bullseye bar, then score over 1500 points in Super Alien Blast

This duel takes place in the Warhouse.

Clamos: "Blastonians, here's your second foe for the contender. They are lean and mean and have a neon sheen... It's Tuskin' Raider!"

Tuskin' Raider is the second ModBot opponent that the player duels. He is a hacked version of Scrofax. He enters the stage after what appears to be a hologram of a boar peers out from a holographic hole in the wall and roars, summoning him onto his podium. Tuskin' Raider makes some gestures that are meant to mimic that of a boar using its tusks.

Tuskin' Raider: "(boar noises) I am... the danger! There's no way to win!"

Tools[edit | edit source]

- The player is equipped with two Vipers, a Nova, a Raptor, and a Cortex Shield.

Upon Losing[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Looks like the contender got gored by the boar! Come back and try to avoid gettin' raided!"

Upon Victory[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Oooh, the contender raided the raider! Guess they need to practice reloading. Congrats, contender! Say, you're such a good shot... While we get the arena ready for the next battle! Prove what a marksman you are by going into Bullseye and scoring over 1500 points on Super Alien Blast. If you're outta tokens, find some on a table or something."

Crystal Mask[edit | edit source]

Objectives[edit | edit source]

- Duel Crystal Mask

- Travel to Ozo and into the Bullseye bar, then hit a Red Bullseye in Darts!

This duel takes place in the Warhouse.

Clamos: "Ooh, this will be a tough one for our contender. The duelist with a mask, "what's that blue crystal?" Don't ask! It's Crystal Mask!"

The third of the four ModBots, Crystal Mask is a hacked version of Squillax. He is summoned to the Warhouse arena after three portals pour some kind of energy into one large crystal that bursts open with Crystal Mask appearing out of it. He appears a bit confused as to where he is, but quickly dismisses the strange circumstances of his arrival to take the player down.

Crystal Mask: "Uh, where am I? There's no way to win!"

Tools[edit | edit source]

- The player is equipped with two Wildcats, a Viper, a Hammer Nade, a Bunker Barrier, and a Nova Nade.

- Crystal Mask is equipped with two Hammers, a Wildcat, a Nova, and a Raptor.

Upon Victory[edit | edit source]

- Clamos: "Crystal Mask turned into a crystal mess! Our contender wins! Go have a game of Darts in Bullseye while we set up the next match!"

Tauron[edit | edit source]

Objectives[edit | edit source]

- Duel Tauron

- You need a disguise! Visit the Shop and purchase either Dracx, Scrofax, Squillax, or Taurex, then in the right hand panel purchase their ModOps skin variation. Equip that and you are ready!

This duel takes place in the Warhouse.

Clamos: "Time to introduce some more pain here at the arena! Sorry, you're about to face off with... Tauron the all-slaying die!"

Tauron stands between the player and the campaign as the fourth opponent as a hacked version of Taurex. He makes quite the entrance as a holographic bull jumps onto his podium before dissolving into Tauron himself. He "scrapes" his hand in the air and lunges with his horns to match the cartoon trope of bulls scraping their hooves on the ground before charging.

Tauron: "One gun to shoot them all, and in the darkness... .....shoot them again!"

Tools[edit | edit source]

- The player is equipped with a Wildcat, a Cortex Shield, a Hammer Nade, and a Luma.

- Tauron is equipped with two Novas, a Viper, a Raptor, and a Vector.

Upon Losing[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Aw, looks like someone knocked the contender all the way back to the Analog Age! Better luck next time!"

Upon Victory[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Hey nowwww! Looks like Tauron is doomed! Way to go, contendo! Wait! Contender! One does not simply walk into Scrapper's Market arena -- it's ModOps only. Hmmm.. Here, take these Blasts and Creds. Butyone of the fallen ModOps' skins in the Shop as a disguise. One suited up, head to Scrapper Street. Security's only a visual scan, should work. If you get de-rezzed and thrown in real-jail, well, er, sorry. Best chance ya got."

Argentia[edit | edit source]

Objectives[edit | edit source]

- Duel Argentia (Use your new disguise, and enter Scrapper Street from outside Ozo. Find a way to get into Scrapper's Market)

This duel takes place in Scrapper's Market.

Clamos: "Uh-oh, the ModBot flunkies all defeated, here's the big boss of the ModOps crew... The Silver Sergeant! The Chrome Commander! Here is... Argentia!"

Argentia is the boss of the first act of the campaign. She means business, going so far as to hack a train to get it to slow down so she can arrive on the scene. Argentia is initially seen holding a coffee mug and teleporting around the arena, making remarks at the player about how rude such a lowly challenger dares to interrupt her coffee break.

Argentia: "Who interrupts my coffee break? Prepare to get obliterated. I can't believe I am stooping to this! Don't worry, this won't take long. You won't have much time to suffer..."

Tools[edit | edit source]

- Both the player and Argentia use the same equipment: a Wildcat, a Hammer, a Nova, a Viper, a Raptor, and a Cortex Shield.

Other[edit | edit source]

- Argentia has a weakness to thrown weaponry, taking 10 times as much damage.

Upon Losing[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Chalk up another victory fooorrrrr Argnetia! Sorry kid, she was born with a silver pistol in her hand. Practice up and try again!"

Upon Victory[edit | edit source]

Clamos: "Oh how the mighty have fallen! Argentia loses for the first time! Our contender is champion of this campaaaaign! Let's hear it for their possibly temporary victory! Great job, kid... But you may have bitten off more than we NeoTexx crew can chew. Guess I'll update my resume..."

Argentia: "You caught me on an off day. But perhaps you NeoTexx jockeys need an old school lesson ... from The Sledge. He and his TrueTech crew are busy off in a beta sector. But they'll be here soon enough. And this contender's gonna get a big lesson... in pain. Now get out of my arena!"

Rewards[edit | edit source]

- Scrapper's Market Arena

Act 2: ???[edit | edit source]

The numbered act system and Argentia's dialogue suggests that there will be another act in the campaign game mode, featuring "The Sledge" as the boss and possibly featuring TrueTech as the opponent rather than Octopresence. However, as of update 1.18, there is no Act 2 in the campaign and it is unknown if there will be.
